Careers in Early Childhood National Directory – 5th Edition (PDF) - This directory from T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® (T.E.A.C.H.) National Center and Child Care Services Association (CCSA) was created to introduce you to a variety of careers in the early childhood field. It contains a sampling of different types of employment opportunities in the early childhood education field. Each page includes an overview of a role in our field (such as family specialist/counselor or teacher of young children). It includes a discussion of the role, job possibilities, education recommended for the job, and salary ranges as well as information and links to financial aid sources.

Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (Website) - Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) is the state affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Its mission is to serve and engage the early childhood workforce and support early care and education in Wisconsin.

• REWARD Wisconsin (Website) - A grant program that provides childcare professionals salary supplements based on their educational attainments & longevity in the field.
• T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood WI (Website)  A program that provides higher education scholarships to professionals who work in regulated early childhood & school-age care settings.

Wisconsin Registry (Website) - The Wisconsin Registry’s mission is to promote excellence in the care and education of children by recognizing and celebrating professional achievements, promoting and supporting personal growth, and designing and aligning career pathways.

Department of Workforce Development (Website) - The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD)is a state agency serving job seekers, businesses, and employees. One of the features of DWD’s webpage is its exploratory career pathways pages, in which career skills, overviews, common wage ranges, and more can be explored.

Head Start: Individual Career Development (Website) - Head Start Early Childhood Learning & Knowledge Center (ECLKC) shares information for individual career development including information on career options in early childhood, career path ladders, and post-secondary education support.

Early Educator Central: Career Pathways (Website) - Early Educator Central links to federally funded courses and resources geared for the infant-toddler workforce. Resources are organized by career pathways to build competency and impact.

Assistant Child Care Teacher Certification Program (Website) - The Assistance Child Care Teacher Certification Program is an industry credential designed for high school students enrolled in 11th or 12th grade and at least 17 years of age. Students that complete the credential are allowed to work at licensed regulated child care centers at the age of 17.
