The community options programs started in 4 centers and we are now in 17 child care centers, preschool and Head Start programs. One of the reasons for our success is that we've had administrative support from a person who understands inclusion and supports our work. We feel trusted and valued. Our role in these centers includes modeling skills, providing incidental consultation to the child care staff and providing periodic training for school district and child care community staff. Our goal is getting the child ready to learn.
