Purpose and Roles  
PURPOSE
  • Provide support for those working to blend programs and/or funding streams.
  • Promote networking and sharing around early childhood partnerships.
  • Provide arenas to envision/create new approaches that support young children and families.
  • Enhance cross program and cross department efforts at the state and local level.
  • Provide mechanisms for “collaborator collaboration”.
  • Provide a community based mechanism for the WI Early Childhood Collaborating Partners.
  • Facilitate communication between local, regional, and the state levels.
ROLE
The Role of the State Consultant Team
  • Facilitate the creation of regional planning team.
  • Assist the regional planning team in convening a spring meeting.
  • Provide agenda ideas and options for regions to include in their spring meetings.
  • A minimum of three State Consultants will attend the spring meetings.
  • The Head Start Collaboration project will mail invitations to spring meetings and will organize space and meals for each region, if desired.
  • Work to develop a structure within the Wisconsin Early Childhood Collaborating Partners (WECCP) that support continuation of these regional meetings.

The Role of the Regional Planning Team

  • Participate in November team meeting.
  • Plan and implement a spring regional meeting.
  • Commit to work toward continued networking meetings and/or activities.
  • Follow up commitments will be determined as the networking continues.
