The Bureau of Regulation and Licensing (BRL) in the Division of Children and Family Services is responsible for licensing and regulating child day care and children’s residential care facilities and private child welfare agencies for adoption and foster care in Wisconsin. BRL regulates family and group child care centers, day camps, group foster homes, residential care centers for children and youth, shelter care facilities, and child placing agencies.

NOTE: The inclusion of Adams and Juneau counties applies only to the regulation of Child Care and Child Welfare programs.
