Name of Group: Northwoods Community Partners/Forces for Early Childhood

County: Oneida, (expanding to include Vilas & Forest)
Geographical Area Represented by Group: Rhinelander School District focused on Rhinelander, but will expand to at least tri-county area to include Oneida, Forest and Vilas

Meetings: This group is a sub-group of Northwoods Community Partners which meets the second Monday of each month at the Job Center in Rhinelander

Participants: Childcare providers, Rhinelander School District, Head Start, Child Care Resource & Referral, Oneida Co. Board Rep., Headwaters (birth-to-3 services and developmentally disabled services for children and adults and runs an after school program currently in one school).  Ministry Health Care is also a partner in that they run a child care program partnering with the school district for after school care in a few of the schools.  

Purpose: Specifically focused on early childhood issues.  At this time 4K and after school care in the Rhinelander district schools.

Other information:
4K is going to be collaborative in that district starting this fall.  After-school programming will start this fall, in a collaboration, as well in all but one school so far.
