The revised Wisconsin Model
Learning Standards apply to children from birth through the end of Kindergarten.
They have been developed to assist teachers and parents of young children to provide
developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. They assist in identifying
appropriate expectations and outcomes for young children and how to scaffold children's
learning. They also assist in choosing appropriate curriculum and assessment materials.
This is the state approved training developed through the collaboration of the
Department of Public Instruction, Department of Children and Families, Department
of Health, Wisconsin Head Start Associationa and other key early childhood leadership
groups. Organizations
