The Northwoods School is a special example of collaboration: it is a rescued effort. The first attempt at a collaborative model in this area was not a success, as Principal Jane Morken will tell you. However, the need was there, and the administration, parents, and staff came through with what is now a working model of collaborative early-childhood education.
